In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus encourages His disciples to live with courage, faith, and trust in God’s loving care. He reminds them not to be afraid of those who can harm the body but cannot touch the soul. Instead, they are called to remain faithful to God, knowing that He values and watches over each one of His children.
Drawing from the Gospel, Fr. Boniface Kariuki emphasized the importance of boldly witnessing to Christ in our daily lives. Just as Jesus instructed His disciples to proclaim openly what they had received, Christians today are called to live their faith without fear, trusting that God knows, loves, and cares for them. The homily challenged the faithful to acknowledge Christ before others through their words, actions, and commitment to Christian values.
As members of the Christ the Teacher Catholic Community, we are reminded that our worth comes from God, who knows us intimately and never abandons us. In moments of uncertainty, fear, or difficulty, we are invited to place our confidence in Him and courageously live out the Gospel message.
