St. Augustine SCC to visit Kamiti Maximum Prison.
The St. Augustine Small Christian Community (SCC) of Kenyatta University Catholic Community is planning a visit to Kamiti Maximum Prison on Sunday, 19th July 2026 to spend a day in service, fellowship and faith.

The visit is an opportunity to share Christ’s love with our brothers and sisters in prison by celebrating Holy Mass together, spending time in fellowship, engaging in interactive activities, and offering words of hope and encouragement. We intend to encourage the inmates to remember that they are not forgotten, that they are loved by God and are a member of the greater Christian family. In preparation for the visit, members of the Jumuiya, along with their families and friends, have been contributing towards the purchase of essential items which will be donated during the visit.
As Christians, we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ, especially to those who may feel isolated or overlooked. This outreach is an act of compassion, solidarity and hope inspired by the words of Jesus “I was in prison and you came to visit me” (Matthew 25:36). We ask you, all of us, to pray for this mission as we strive to make a difference, one kind act at a time.
